Which is the best dog friendly beach in PEI? Bonus if I could also find some sea glass!

Good morning Deb;
Thank you for reaching out to Ask an Islander. As a starting point, please read our handy Travelling with Your Pet advice. One of the most beautiful beaches with dog-friendly amenities is at Fin Folk Food in Grand Tracadie.
As for beach glass, you may find beach glass at any beach around the Island - beaches along the coast vs. in a bay are a better bet. Some areas have more, while other areas are constantly picked. A good tip is to hunt at a beach with an old wharf nearby.
Personally I've had the most luck in the Souris area. The Points East Coastal Drive region boasts 50 beaches. The only beach in this area that restricts dogs is Greenwich in the PEI National Park.
I see that you are from Caledonia, Ontario. You may want to visit Caledonia, PEI where you will find a beautiful terrace at Double Hill Cidery.
All the best with your hunt. I invite you to download or order our 2024 visitor’s guide. You can always stay in touch by signing up for the Tourism PEI newsletter which includes details on upcoming festivals and events and recipes too!
Have a wonderful summer vacation!
