Looking to spend a few days cycling on the Confederation Trail. Any suggestions on an itinerary that enables us to stop for good food and drink along the way?

Answer by:

Hello Rosemary,

Thank you for your question to Ask and Islander.

There are so many wonderful places to stop and enjoy a meal along the Confederation Trail.

In the North Cape Coastal area, Alberton Bakery & Cafe, Huntley Horizon Take-out Dairy Bar or Mama's Cafe,

In the Central Coastal Drive area, the Island Stone Pub, Route 2 Diner, and lots of amazing options when you get into Charlottetown.

In the Points East Coastal Drive area, absolutely stop and enjoy the Seafood Shack in Morell and Red Neil's Eatery. Also, Clam Diggers, the Wheelhouse, the Home Plate Restaurant and Treena's Take-out.

As for an itinerary, these Confederation Trail Cycling Itineraries are great.

Happy trails!
